About Karel Segers

Karel Segers is a story consultant and script editor who has consulted on screen story to writers, producers, the AWG and government agencies in Australia and overseas.

He has experience in development, production and distribution, plus he is a qualified teacher. Karel had a full career spanning all aspects of radio before he moved into television as a movie critic for radio and MTV Europe; a Programming & Acquisitions manager for Europe’s largest Pay-TV Canal+ and a movie buyer at DBC in London.

Karel ranks in the world’s Top 10 most influential “Tweeters” for screenwriting. He is a founding member of The Story Shop and he founded www.thestorydepartment.com, Australia’s top ranking web site on screenwriting.
